What's Inside My Easter Baskets?

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Not just on this holy day do I like to say thanks for having positive, encouraging, supportive, and loving people in my life, but every day I like to remember to be grateful. I feel very blessed to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. They make me feel special and loved. 

As a child on Easter day my family would get up early, go to church, and have a delicious home cooked dinner. It was nice, but we didn't have an egg hunt or get Easter baskets. When your that young those are the fun things to look forward to. I have always had a big sweet tooth. Both of my best friends know that and this year they surprised me with baskets full of goodies. It really touched my heart how they personalized it as well as how much they really know me.

Ashley knows how much I love Hello Kitty! Can this basket be any more cute?

Inside instead of eggs she wrapped all kinds of my favorite candy in little cupcakes. Like Butterfinger eggs! Yum! I love to bake cupcakes and decorate them. She was the one who taught me how to make them just right. I guess Ginger loves them too. I see with my little eye something furry. She knows my favorite princess movie is "The Little Mermaid", my love for tamarindo dulce, and how I always gravitate towards anything patterned chevron striped. 

She also included this dainty cross bracelet. She got one for herself and one for me. It couldn't have been more perfect for today.  We both wore ours that same day. 

 After we eat dinner with my Fiance's family we went over Leo and Alex's house. Their family is always so warm and welcoming. 

 Inside she spoiled me with chocolate and colorful peeps.Our favorite! I already eat a lot of it..  hee hee. She knows my love for candles, stud earrings, Lauren Conrad's Style, and my obsession with the colors of mint/teal.

Their friendship means the world to me. I love and appreciate everything they do. They made me feel very special. I am truly blessed.

Valentine's Day

A day filled with love, romance, kisses, hugs, friends, sweet text messages, chocolate covered strawberries, m&m brownies, love letters, adorable fortune cookies, heart to heart conversations, special gifts, our favorite dinner, and ended the night holding hands watching Safe Haven with my favorite person.

Gifts For Him

I decorated all of Ricardo's gifts by personalizing each box. I have a drawer full of stickers, decals, and ribbon for these special occasions ;)

Every year he know he gets his customized candy box full of his favorite chocolates. I think it's more special that way. His favorite kind of jogging pants, since he rarely gets to dress down anymore, a new wallet, and a tie for work.

Hearts, Love, Nail Candy Nail Art!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow! It's one of my all time favorite holidays due to all of the pink everywhere you go! I'm a hopeless romantic and love the candy, flowers, hugs, kisses, movies, songs,  ect.. I can go on and on. We all agree that's it's a "Hallmark" holiday but who cares? Enjoy the moment and it's a great excuse to get all smooshy around this time of year. It helps rekindle love and passion. So guys don't forget about your girl and get her something special that comes from the heart!

Painting my nails always relaxes me and unwind from my day. I usually paint them at night, with a lit candle, while I catch up on my favorite TV shows. In the spirit of the season I couldn't forget to decorate my nails of course. I had a lot of fun painting them and took inspiration from some wonderful gals.

Ice Skating in the City

I think Ice Skating is on everyone's bucket list for the year. Through out the whole Winter season one of the main things I always wish for is a day of Ice Skating. It's hard to find things to do in this freezing Chicago weather, but you can always count on the city's annual festivities and events. 

I have always been ice skating indoors during Chicago's Winter Wonder Fest, but I have never experienced it outdoors before. My girlfriend Alex and her hubby Leo invited us to go on fun date Downtown. It was a cold yet beautiful day surrounded by the luminous skyscrapers and decorations.

 I'm glad Alex held on to me most of the time, while the boys showed off their moves, I'm not quite the professional yet. Thank you Alex! 

Alex and Leo took us to one of their favorite places to grab a quick bite when they are in the city. We went to Noodles & Company. Ahhh the food was fantastic and the customer service was very nice too. I am a pasta lover! It reminded me of Panera Bread. 

Afterwards we all went to Ricardo's and watched Thor. I was exhausted from an exciting day and fell asleep on the warm comfortable couch and unfortunately didn't see the movie ha ha. Our next date, Alex and I, will be to watch Les Miserables in Theaters. Have you guys seen it? Did you love it?

Time for me to go to sleep it's late! Ginger looks so cozy on the bed and I want to join in. One more thing to cross of my bucket list, to ice skate with the love of my life, outside in the beautiful city of Chicago, in the snow. Good night loves!

Pretty Little Things

It's the pretty little things that make me happy. From a lit handle with my favorite scent, to the nail polish on my finger nails. I'm a visual person and I feel at most happy and less stressed when I'm surrounded by my favorite pretty things.

Halloween is over and I had to put the cute friendly ghost candy dish away that I was using for my nail polishes, as well as the Halloween candle.
My little place is always evolving. It's time to rearrange my coffee table.
