My Makeup/Closet Room AKA My Glam Room
I think every girl needs to have a room all to her herself dedicated to her clothes, shoes, makeup, and even office. That's exactly what I envisioned when I moved to our new home as a newlywed couple a year ago and I feel like it's finally complete. This is my happy place.
My Crafting Room Storage / Collection
I love do-it-yourself projects, crafts, and decorating my planner. Yes, I am a grandma stuck inside a 25 year old body ha ha. I love personalizing things to my taste and when I can't find something in store or online I make it myself. I need a place to store my pink glue guns, fabric, and stickers. My planner supplies addiction has also gone too far and I needed some major organization and a solution to store them all.
Easy DIY Closet Make Over
Oh oh oh my word! I seriously cannot believe how my sketches and designs came to life. I have always wanted a beautiful closet with paint or wallpaper and customized shelving, pretty much the whole works. Since Ricardo and I bought and moved into our house four months ago, I told myself that I would make it my dream house. I would decorate every single room including the closets. Now that our wedding has past and life has slowed down I am ready to renovate each room. The rest of my house is beautiful and I can take my time decorating it. What couldn't wait was this hideous closet I had in my Glam Room, the spare bedroom in our house.
I am so happy Ricardo let me do whatever I wanted with the extra room. We call it the "Glam Room" since it's my closet, craft room, vanity, and office all in one. This is my work space and where I plan to film my videos.
This past weekend we dedicated two days to renovate this baby, Ricardo called it "the Villa's extreme home make over" ha ha. My Hubby and Dad did most of the work. I felt like Genevieve or Candice from HGTV giving them my sketches and guiding things were I wanted them. It was such a great bonding moment between all of us shopping for the materials needed. I learned a lot from my Dad that day.
No one is a carpenter in my family and I didn't want to spend too much money on a small closet. I almost gave up putting up shelves and then ran across this at Target! My prayers were answered from above.
Fabric from Joann's Fabric $100 + (8 yards of fabric for three walls)
Tips for taking down your closet shelves.
Before calling my Dad to help us out, I didn't want to damage our walls. I searched online for a guide to help take down the shelves and boards in the closet. Hopefully this can help you too.
Tips for installing fabric on your walls.
1.) Measure your walls and bring the measurements with you before you buy the fabric
2.) Pick fabric that is not too shear. Outdoor fabric is more sturdy, thicker, better quality, and stains less.
3.) When buying your fabric make sure there is more than enough. I gave the measurements to the worker at Joann Fabrics, who was cutting it for me, and she calculated how I needed. She made my life so much easier.
My closet walls (3 walls)
-back wall 57"w x 92"h
-side walls 32" w x 92"h
4.)You do NOT need paste or glue. A simple staple gun will do it.
5.)Steam/Iron your fabric prior to attaching it on your walls.
6.) Fold the edges for a clean look and start at the top middle.
7.) Use as many staples as you need, don't worry you can't see them from afar.
8.) Tug and stretch fabric as you get to the sides of the wall. That's it! Super simple.

Many of my ideas grow from my favorite place in my home, my room. It's the one room that I snuggle in with my little Papillon, write on my blog, and get glammed up. I need it to look pretty! I decided to give it a little make over with new bedding and new furniture. I'm loving this soft color palette.
Here is my Room Tour! I go over every single item in my room and where I purchased it from. Don't forget to send me a picture of your room using the hash tag #BelindaSelene so I can like and comment on your pic. You can also tag me on my Instagram or Twitter @MissBelindaxox.

Glam Vanity and Makeup Collection
I finally went through all of my makeup and gave my vanity a little make over. I love how soft and feminine it looks now. Since I was snowed in for two days, due to a large snow storm and literally negative degree freezing weather, I re-organized everything. Makeup that I no longer wanted and some new that I wasn't going to use, I put in a bag and let my family and friends go through it.
I'm a sucker for cute packaging and keep pretty little things on top. This year I'm making going to invest a little more on YSL lippies. Let me know what your favorite shade is! I would love to get a shade you love.
This is how I displayed stored and displayed my makeup brushes for a long time, but wanted something different. It sadly cracked in half and had to replace it. Here is a post showing you guys how I glittered these candle holders. Click here!
BEFORE
AFTER
I made a few changes in my room as well. Can you spot the difference? I will be doing a full Room Tour at the end of this month. A full room tour, in detail explaining where everything is from. In the meantime I am editing a closet tour.
You can watch my full makeup collection here. This is a collaboration with my love Kathleen aka KathleenLights on YouTube. She is just so gorgeous. Be looking out on a lot of collaborations with her. I'll let you in on a little secret...we are doing a swap! I haven't done one of those in about a year and a half and it's like Christmas all over again.

I hope you enjoyed these and it gave you ideas on how you can store your makeup. Time to dress up and go to my honey's house. Running errands, wedding planning, and then movies with our good friends.

While working....
While working on my blog I noticed how much I enjoy sitting here. I look forward to lighting a sweet candle and getting inspired by the things that surround me. Your work place should be filled with things that make you smile. This is what I see when I turn to my right. Oh the little things...
My Jewelry Storage - Bracelets and Stud Earrings
My love for arm candy is getting a bit out of control and so is my limited storage for it. I had to come up with a clever idea to not only store them, but also display them in a presentable way. If they are not out where I can see them, then I forget what I have. Out of sight out of mind. With all of my colorful pieces I decided white would look best to hold my bracelets. I used simple items like vases and milk glass bowls to store them.
As for my stud earrings, I kept a necklace gift box from Shoplately to neatly spread them out. The styrofoam keeps them elevated without damaging the back of the earring.
My Spring cleaning is slowly progressing hee hee. I got rid of bracelets I no longer wanted or cared for. Next is my closet. That's going to be a challenge. It's almost five in the evening and it's time to get dolled up for a fun night at the movies and a yummy dinner with my family. How's your Friday so far? Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
