Ruffles - Redecorating My Room

New Bedding can change an entire room! After purchasing a new bed spread for my bed room it inspired me to rearrange everything. My room feels so much bigger and girlier. If that's even possible. I feel like a princess! All I need now is a good  full length mirror with a white frame. I looked everywhere and they are very pricey. I might just have to make my own ;)

How To Style: Combat Boots ft. Pink and Pepper

Combat boots have been very popular lately! They are no longer only described as the rebel shoe. Combat boots can fit in any fashion category. It was a challenge for me to style them with the girly wardrobe I have. Fashion is about making a statement, expressing yourself without words, and it's always okay to step out of our comfort zone. You never know if you'll love it until you try it!

Lippie Junkie: Lasting Colors

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain 015 CHERISH | NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss BEIGE

I'm obsessed with Revlon's balm stains due to their long wear! Cherish was not always one of my favorites but with this NYX gorgeous gloss, thanks to my love Mel for gifting it to mehh, it looks so flirty and feminine. A lasting lip color with a shine. It has literally been on my lips for more than three hours without any fading.

Chanel Rouge Allure 93 EXALTEE | NYX Lip Liner Pencil HOT PINK

As I walked into Macy's my attention imminently went straight to a very pretty girl who had this gorgeous color on. I asked her what lipstick she was wearing, there was no doubt I had to get  it right there and then. Chanel holds it's reputation for an obvious reason. I think it's worth the splurge. It last for hours and it looks  impeccable.

I also love NYX lip liner pencils. I always rave how great they work. (click here to watch video) I personally own about ten of them.

I'm sure to get compliments when I wear this bold color. I have become such a huge lippie junkie that I had to share this with you lovelies. I always want to know what lippies are worth getting. I hope this helped If your in the market for a good lip product.

Black and White inspired Chanel

This weekend I picked up some new things to complete my living room,including: a new coffee table book, a new ruffled white pillow, center piece for my coffee table, and I made another Chanel inspired pillow. I will soon have a tutorial on that. It is all coming well together! I love being in my living room it's comfy and chic! Not sure if you lovelies would like a short little video on how I will rearrange my coffee table, let me know if you do :D

While on our adventure, Ashley and I had the best dessert at the Grand Lux Cafe in Chicago, our waiter said so himself. If you ever go there, make sure to order the New Orleans Beignets 30mins in advanced since they are made fresh.

Favorite Lip Products

Over the last three to four months, ever since I purchased a lip stain from Revlon, I have been obsessed with lip products. I used to only wear a lip balm or lip gloss on my lips. Over where I live (borderline of Chicago/Indiana), it's rare to see girls with lip stick on. Even when it comes to special occasions, everyone just wears a clear lip gloss. I think a little lip color really enhances your natural features and makes you look radiant. It brings life to your face. It doesn't always have to be so dark.  A rose lipstick is now part of my daily makeup routine along with mascara and eyeliner. When I do a full face of makeup, for more of a night time look, I love to go for a bold berry lip. Here are some of my current favorite lippies.

 

These are currently in my everyday makeup bag. I'm usually rushing out the door and don't have time to choose which shade of lipstick I want to wear or touch up. Sugar Rose if my favorite lip balm for the horrible cold weather that dries and chaps my lips. I like the L'Oreal Caresse for an everyday subtle look. When I want to add some "umph" to my look I reach for my Chanel lipstick!

These are my most recent favorites. The Pixi tinted lip balm beats all others like it. This color is beautiful for Fall and it stays on for at least 8hrs a day without drying out the lips. 

When it comes to lip glosses one thing that I cannot stand is when your hair gets stuck to your lips. Loose hair strands drag the lip gloss across your face and then your left with an unwanted shiny cheek. It's so annoying. I found these three babies didn't give me that problem. Currently obsessed!

Many of you beauties out there have requested to see my current favorite lip products at the moment and here they are.  I hope this helped some of you who are in the market for a new balm, gloss, or lipstick. I'm on my bf's laptop at his house while he's watching the Bears game hee hee.I should probably get off the computer now... I'm surprised I'm starting to get hungry already since we had a big lunch not too long ago. Let's see what's for dinner. Until next time!

DIY Glamorous Wall Art

I just posted this video on steps how to create your own glamorous wall art. I think this is super easy, inexpensive, and fast! My walls were so bare I had a hard time looking for something my taste. If I can't find something in store I just make it myself lol. There are unlimited designs for any theme of any room.

Here is the logo I used. I googled it, but had a hard time finding one with more pixels. To save you the trouble here it is! Right click and save to your computer! Easy as pie!

My Style: Chanel Logo Shirt and High-waisted Frayed Shorts

My first fashion post yay!!!

As I was browsing through Etsy.com one day I stumbled across this bright Chanel logo shirt. Obviously it's not real since I found it on Etsy and Chanel does not make these kind of shirts. But, I do love Chanel! Who doesn't right? The color caught my attention and I fell in love with it! I even asked you beauties on twitter and Instagram to help me pick one (there was two I was debating on). Most of  you guys voted for this one! Thank you girlfriends ;)

The shirt is pretty good quality I was very impressed. The logo is printed on the shirt, like most manufactured logos are. It is made out of cotton and modal. The only downside is that they only carry one size. 

I wanted to pair it with really cute distressed/frayed shorts as well as really cute casual yet dressy shoes. The shorts are "cheeky" but wearable. I love my Jessica Simpson shoes!!! They are extremely comfortable, since they are wedges, and the elasticity of the bands make them easy to walk on for hours.

Romantic/Modern Style Living Room

Simple decorations can glamorize any room! Here are some items I recently bought to spice up my living room! Pillows are always the least expensive and the most eye catching accent in a room! As soon as I bought my new couch, the first thing that came to my mind was where can I find cute pillows? The same day I purchased my couch I was on a hunt and found some really cute ones along with some other goodies to match!

My Room!!!

A CLOSER LOOK

 

 

 

This is what you lovelies see in the background of my videos :D My room was inspired by an older bed spread (you can see the design on my pillows). I love how the pink contrasts the black making it the accent color in my color palette.

This is another blanket that I like to switch to from time to time. I bought this one from Target for only $20! It is super comfy and warm. 

I made the Chanel pillow myself. I traced the pattern from a top that I bought Downtown. The Chandelier pillow is also from Target but is no longer in stock. I bought that about two years ago. The pink ruffle pillow can be found at HomeGoods, Marshalls, or TJMaxx. 

The "border" (not really a border) or background, (the wall) is scrapbook paper that I pasted on the wall to make my room stand out. It's an alternative to wallpaper. 

My pink damask lamp is also from Target. 

The night stand was refurnished. I painted it white and added new hardware from a home improvement store. 

As for the bow tissue box I made myself! For weeks I was on an endless search for a really cute tissue box that matched the theme of my room. Since I couldn't find one I decided to just customize one. I just added rhinestones and ribbon :)

Here is a closer look on what's on top of my dresser. Just like the night stand (drawer) next to my bed I painted it a matte black color. 

Both piggie banks are from Target. You can still find the princess piggy at your local Target store and online. 

The princess picture frame is from Marshalls. Inside is a picture from when I won Princess in a scholarship pageant. It's my boyfriend Ricardo and me :D after the competition. 

The Academy beauty display actually has makeup inside I found this at Sears quite a while ago. I don't use the makeup I just like it for display! 

The crown is from the same pageant I was in. It's quite big and heavy I love the bling! Instead of stashing it away in a box I thought It would brighten up my room almost like a chandelier and decided to display it instead.

The lamp is from Ikea. It was only $30 and it displays beautifully! The only downside is that it only turns on by plugging it to an outlet and not by a switch. 

On the wall is a damask cloth that I added to  give my room some visual texture and height to the ceiling.
