She's Turning 26!

My Sister's Birthday Bash

When it comes to celebrating our loved ones Birthdays, we always go all out! Last Saturday was a night to remember and what better way to keep those memories alive then by capturing them on camera. My sister turned 26! She has already accomplished so much at such a young age and I am so proud of her! She is a role model for me. I love my sisi so much! She is definitely one of my biggest supporters in everything I do.

On her special day she invited 24 of her closets friends for a night of celebration.
We started the evening by having a couple of drinks at her house while we got ready for the night. After everyone arrived and played paparazzi, we danced and fist pumped  inside the party bus that took us to a night club in the beautiful city, where VIP service waited for us.

This is our girl crew, missing two more that showed up fashionably late, they all have that strong sisterly chemistry.

My sister is one of the easiest people to shop for. I know her favorite brands by heart and as long as it's in her size she will genuinely love it. I had to wrap it in this really cute pink tissue paper of course. It's the little touches that make it more special.

Steve Madden Satchel

Her expression said it all. Thought of her immediately after seeing them. Thought about getting them in my size too hee hee.

Guess Shoes

I wanted to add these beautiful pink and gold shoes to her, already large, shoe collection. I really need to show you guys a tour of her walk in closet I helped design. I'm a bit Jelly of her closet, its funny because we both love how her closet turned out  that we like to sit in there and talk about her new purchases. It's one of our hang out spots ha ha.

We made sure to give our Birthday girl the full glamor treatment. Beauty pro Artie did her makeup and nails, while I gave her big curls and voluminous hair.

It was an interesting night full of surprises, laughter, and lots of dancing. I didn't get a chance to take pictures in the club but good thing we took plenty before we left. Getting ready is always half the fun and excitement of going out. We had a good time planning this event for the last month including her Birthday dinner. Especially the shopping part! I'm glad we got to share it with our closets friends.

I'm going to finish eating my Ben & Jerry's ice cream from last night that I didn't get to finish. Ricardo bought it for me since I was super stressed this week thank you baby. My favorite is Chunky Monkey! Yummy! Ice cream makes everything better, don't you think? Ginger is sleeping on my lap and it's making me want to take a nap...so I just noticed I'm always about to eat or already eat at the end of my posts. Yeah...I'm a fatty, but I can't help it I love food!

Much love,
Belinda

My Style: Casual Peplum

  (Clockwise from top)

Jacket Forever21 | H&M Blouse | Bracelet's DIY | Black Rider Boots Rampage | Pale Gray Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac | Levis

Most leather jackets can make your body look "boxy". They don't flatter your body shape. A black leather jacket is a staple in every girl's closet. When I spotted this baby at Forever21 there was no question to get it. The peplum style of this faux leather jacket caught my attention from across the store. One of the main reasons why the peplum style is very popular is the fact that it can compliment just about anyone's body type. It adds curves to girls with smaller hips and gives the appearance of  a smaller waist, by the ruffles, to those who want a defined waist line.

This Forever21 jacket is similar to the Alexander McQueen's Jacket for about 3k less ;)

Peplum Jacket

This was my Saturday night outfit perfect for a night out in the city with the boyfriend and friends. The food was interesting and the cool dimmed atmosphere was nice. Ricardo and my little Gingi are napping I think I might join them, they look so comfy.

Much Love,
Belinda

Cowgirl Boots! Ft. RetroCity Sunglasses

Leather/Faux Leather is an essential fabric to your Fall fashion wardrobe. It is very warm, stylish, edgy, yet sophisticated, depending on how you pair it. Many of us want to match our leather accessories to the same color, but sometimes we can over do it. Try and balance it out by pairing two different colors of leather. The trick for me is the hardware. I just make sure it all matches, either all bronze, gold, or silver.

I recently purchased these boots and I love them! What sold me was the cute tassel on the sides. It also matches this really laid back cross body purse. (My new favorite style of purses).  I love the color of it! I was originally going to buy the cowgirl boots from Target, but they sold out everywhere, even online! They were on my wish list for a long time. About a month later my bestie Ashley and I found them at Kmart in a better color too. Wooo hoo!

These cute aviator sunglasses are from RetroCity Sunglasses.com. The company sent them to me to share with you. (I have a giveaway on my YouTube channel MissBel01xox) The Ombre effect on the front compliments my skin tone and hair color. Quick tip: Because my hair is black the brown glasses contrasts it and stands out.  I think they bring my whole outfit together!

What I'm wearing
Jacket: Express (Last year's season)
Shirt: H&M (Last season)
Shorts (DIY Distressed Shorts)
Boots: Kmart (Recently bought)
Crossbody Bag (Thrifted)

My Style: Fav Booties and Crossbody Bag

Crossbody bags/satchels and Boots have been my most reached for fashion items since the season started.
I have been noticing that I more often reach for a cross-body bag than a large purse. I still love large purses (you can fit anything in them!), but I think it's less of a hassle when you don't have to carry something heavy on your arms or shoulders. They're definitely starting to trend because I see cuter satchels and cross-body bags than regular purses at times. I'm not gonna lie I, when I was really young, I thought they were only for old ladies. I guess I'm an old lady now, because my collection is getting bigger. I am still on a hunt for the perfect pale grey satchel, with silver hardware, and a silver chain strap.

If I could live in boots for the rest of my life I would. Anything from rider, ankle, thigh-high, knee, or even rain boots, I love them all. (During Summer I'm already stocking up on them for Fall hee hee.) That probably has to be one of my favorite things about the colder weather.

What I'm wearing:
  • Booties - Target
  • Jill Crossbody Bag - Guess
  • Sweater- Guess
  • Pants - H&M
  • Blouse - Hollister
  • Forever Yummy Nail Polish - Essie

I'm also wearing this gorgeous lip color that came in MyGlam/ipsy bag for the month of October. I can't stop raving how much I love it! It's so opaque and creamy, but not sticky. I wore it in the afternoon and it stayed on, without chapping my lips, all day until night time. It's not a sample size, it was full size. I definitely got my money's worth this month, because it originally retails for $35!

I would love to hear what you though of your Glam Bag/ipsy bag this month and what you are mostly reaching for in your closet this season. Gotta get ready for brunch and shopping with some girlfriends. I haven't even changed from my pj's ahhh.

Much love,
Belinda

My Style: Chanel Logo Shirt and High-waisted Frayed Shorts

My first fashion post yay!!!

As I was browsing through Etsy.com one day I stumbled across this bright Chanel logo shirt. Obviously it's not real since I found it on Etsy and Chanel does not make these kind of shirts. But, I do love Chanel! Who doesn't right? The color caught my attention and I fell in love with it! I even asked you beauties on twitter and Instagram to help me pick one (there was two I was debating on). Most of  you guys voted for this one! Thank you girlfriends ;)

The shirt is pretty good quality I was very impressed. The logo is printed on the shirt, like most manufactured logos are. It is made out of cotton and modal. The only downside is that they only carry one size.

I wanted to pair it with really cute distressed/frayed shorts as well as really cute casual yet dressy shoes. The shorts are "cheeky" but wearable. I love my Jessica Simpson shoes!!! They are extremely comfortable, since they are wedges, and the elasticity of the bands make them easy to walk on for hours.

WHAT I'M WEARING (Links)
  • Chanel Logo Shirt in Light Blue $22 (Etsy.com)
  •  Frayed Denim Shorts $37.99 (Romwe.com)
  • Jessica Simpson Black Elastic Wedges from Macy's (sry couldn't find link)

The shirts come in different colors and different high fashion logos. Let her know I send you if you decide to purchase one :D I hope this gave you a little inspiration. Let me know on my twitter what you think of my first fashion post @MissBelindaxox.

xox, much love!

Current Obsession: My Favorite Gold Glitter Nailpolishes!

My Current Obsession

I want to start doing weekly current obsession posts. What do you guys think? I go through these random obsessions when it comes colors, whether it's the color of my nails, accessories, shoes, or clothes. This week I have fallen in love with golds. All there are different shades of golds some are more yellow than others. My number one favorite shade of gold is ROSE GOLD. Who's with me? First of all my favorite color of all time has always been PINK, I even have pots and pans in my kitchen that are pink ha ha, so gold mixed with a shade of pink is fabulous!

NAIL POLISHES: (left to right)
  • Gold by Love & Beauty (Forever21) $2.80
  • Golden 485 by Sally Hansen hard as nails X-treme wear (Target) $2-$3
  • Rage by Orly (Sally's Beauty Supply) $7-$8
  • Disco Lights by Milani (Walmart/Walgreens) $5
  • No name sorry, but the brand is Stripe Rite (Sally's Beauty Supply) $5-$6
  • Gold For Me by Sephora by OPI (Sephora) $9-$10
They are all great quality but of course Orly brand beats them all because it dries very quickly and doesn't chip as much as the rest. The gold rhinestones are actually stickers that my friend Artie so kindly gave me. They are from Sephora as well :D

Here is a very simple outfit that compliments your fabulous nails!
