New Year New You: Let's get motivated!

Last year I told myself that I will be a much healthier person and that I needed to make a change in my lifestyle. I didn't want to stick to a diet where I would eventually give up. I love food way too much to be restricted. So how did I loose 20lbs? I simply added fruits and vegetables to meals and reduced the size of my portions. In no time I lost the weight easily. You can check out my first fitness video by clicking here. Now I want to tone up and look great in a bathing suit. I was too lazy to work out, but now I found my motivation, what's yours?

Everyone wants to look fabulous and fit, if that was everyone's motivation we would all have six packs. There has to be something more to get your butt off that couch and work out. Mine is cute clothes, not only do I want to fit great in my wardrobe but also want to look cute while doing it. When you buy cute work out clothes, you want to wear them. What better excuse to go to the gym?

Fabletics by Kate Hudson is not only advanced workout gear but are very flattering too. You won't have panty lines or clothes so tight you can't breath in them. So far, I have tried out the leggings, a tank top, and the jackets. No other brand can compare to these leggings! They are amazing.
I am obsessed with their new line and love working out in them!

I'm extremely sore from yesterday's workout and had to roll out of bed ha ha. In my next blog post I'll talk about my gym workout routine. Tuesday Treats: A little bling!

Shoplately has some of the most unique jewelry and accessories. Sellers like COB & PEN, QQLemon, Daisy Gem, and Glint and Gleam keep up with a great price and quality. Here's a little haul I wanted to share with you. The colors I choose are more Spring appropriete. Can't wait for Spring to arrive with all of the sunshine, and ranunculus flowers to blossom. 

Thick chains have been trending a lot lately and I loved how a tassel a little more glamour. It hangs so delicately and makes a big statement. It is inspired by Coco Chanel. Love me some arm candy. Shoplately gives me beautiful conversation starter pieces.  

Mint/teal will forever be one of my favorite colors. I got this piece in advance before it sold out. I prefer a darker tone of gold though. I'm not a big fan a yellow gold. It tends to make things look cheap if your know what I mean. Nonetheless I still love it and can't wait to wear it! I'm very happy with what I got. 

One of my favorite things to do in the morning before heading off to work is to cuddle with my lazy doggie. She loves laying on me no matter how uncomfortable and  awkward it is for her. Little things like this make me very happy and I enjoy life a little more.

Fall Beauty Staples

Fall is slowly creeping up on us and since it's my second favorite season I want to be prepared. It means apple cider lit candles under a warm blanket with a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks in your hand.  When the leaves are turning those beautiful hues of red it inspires me to update not only my wardrobe but my beauty products as well. It's time for shadowed eyes and vampy lips. Though I am of a darker olive skin tone, I still turn pale with cooler climates. Nothing looks more gorgeous than the look of burgundy lips.

I was in the city this morning and after a meeting, I went on a little shopping trip for what will become my Fall Staples. I made a little investment on some luxurious lippies as well as nail polishes. 

For nail polishes I choose these three. I can picture this Marc Jacobs nail polish with a gold accent nail for a classic look. After watching That's Heart video I have been on a hunt for this beautiful green shade from Topshop. It will be that pop of color I need when I pair darker outfits. 

Marc Jacobs cosmetics recently launched early August 2013. I want to go back and try out more of this new line at Sephora.

The most luxurious lipstick added to my collection. The packaging itself makes you feel glamorous. It is made out of the same genuine leather that their hand bags are made out of. I needed a lip color I could wear on a daily basis. 

Ives Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte - #12 Forbidden Burgundy $34.00

This is the perfect shade of burgundy I was originally on a hunt for. YSL makes some of the most long lasting lipsticks. Not only are they  soft on your skin, they are never sticky, and you forget your wearing lipstick. 

I put it on while I was testing it at Sephora, and even after having lunch and hydrating though out the day, with my bottled water, five  hours later it was still on my lips. A little faded but I like how it stained my lips. Don't mind how tiered I look hee hee.

The Shiny Things

While trying to kill time before a meeting I stopped by a nearby Marshalls and came across the perfect little "wallet" for my everyday purse. Rebecca Minkoff doesn't have silver wallets in their current collection, or they do and I didn't look very hard, at least to my taste. Luckily I found this for half off the retails price. I'm sure I'm not the only girl who loves to match the same design or designer to her hand bag. 

Nowadays I only buy small little wallets that fit in my cross-body bags, thus eliminating a bunch of useless items at the bottom of my purse, that I think one day will come in handy. Like a band aid, neosporin, or a billion lipsticks. That day still hasn't came.

I got for such a great deal it was almost a steal. I love how it compliments the hardware on my Mini Mac. I love this time at night. I have a beautiful Pink Tulip candle from Bath and Body Works burning while listening to my favorite tunes. Right now I have, "We Can't Stop" on replay by Miley Cyrus. Gingi looks so cute sleeping right next to me. Well off to bed I go it's late and tomorrow is going to be a fun early day for me. Good night beauties!

Thank You Benefit Cosmetics!!!

I had the honor of meeting Carla from Benefit Cosmetics who very kindly sent me a sweet surprise in the mail. This is one of my top favorite makeup brands! They have an eminent reputation in the beauty world. When I feel like splurging at Sephora, I always make sure to stop by the Benefit counter. I literally screamed when I saw the cute box. Inside are some of the best sellers and new products as well.

The Hoola Bronzer and the Porefessional Face Primer have been on my wishlist for months now. I don't usually buy makeup unless I run out and need to replace it. I have been using them for the past two days and I can say I'm not disappointing through all of the hype. I can see why everyone loves them.

With the wet weather here in Chicago, I was also excited to see adorable branded umbrella.

 I was also delighted to see the eyeshadows. Which by the way have adorable packaging and will not be disposing yet. I heard that the cream colors are very similar to the Color Tattos by Maybelline but don't tend to crease. I don't own any eyeshadows from Benefit, but I will make sure to tell you guys how I like them.

I have also been using these two foundations and have to say I am beyond impressed! The consistency of the liquid foundation is a bit watery but that just made it easier to blend. They give medium coverage.

Just came back from a long day at the vet and from grocery shopping. Ginger and my sister's new puppy Lola had a check up. I love my Sisi she is so much fun to hang out with. We also eat our addiction, frozen yogurt. My Fiance is going to love me, I stocked up on his favorites drinks in the fridge for whenever he comes over.

New Arm Candy

Chic Mint Bag

I was recently sent some of the prettiest pastel colored arm candy in the mail. I am highly impressed with the quality and how comfortable these bracelets are for the price they are. The gold makes them versatile and easy to wear with pretty much any outfit that has a touch of gold to it. I have been rocking mine everyday! I forget I have them on. Usually I find chain bracelets to be heavy on my wrist and take them off half way through the day.

Mikaylove Bracelets

Christianne is the owner and designer of these beautifully crafted Mikaylove bracelets. They come in a variety of colors and different sizes. Thought the clasp to close them can be tricky at least you don't have to worry about them falling off easily. It took me a while to put them on when I first got them, but after a couple of tries you can easily close the.  I like how true to size the width is because then you don't have to worry about them sliding up and down your arm.Thank you Christineanne I love them!

These beautiful bracelets are from one of my absolute favorite websites! When it comes to durable affordable jewelry it is my go to web page. They re-stock on new jewelry so often I check it at least once a day to find something new. I love now unique this bracelet is! I had to get them in two different colors.

Sweet Finds

Picked up a couple of little things here and there. I have been wanting the Bath and Body Works lotion since Christmas but were sold out everywhere for months lol. Story of my life. Once I got my hands on it I only paid $10 not bad! All of these little treasure are not all for me, I also bought some of them for gifts. I love my friends and like to show them how much I appreciate them with a little gift sometimes. They spoil me and deserve to be spoiled too. I love being a girl! These are my Pink and Pepper shoe picks for the months of April and May. I think the price is incredible for the quality of the shoes. They are designed to be comfortable and fit your feet perfectly.  

No rubber flip flops for me in the summer, I only wear them at the beach. I like a nice structured sandal for every day wear. These sandals really surprised me, the back of the strap, is not only stretchy but doesn't bother the back of your ankles. They are extremely durable.
