HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT BEDSIDE NURSERY ON A BUDGET
I am in full nesting mode and getting every room in our home ready for baby #2. We are currently working on our bedroom where we will be spending most of our time. When we had Benji last year, I slept (hardly), ate, and breastfed around the clock. The room we used the most was our bedroom. We made sure to stock everything we needed while I recovered from birth and it was the best decision we made. Let me share with you some things that made our lives as new parents much easier. Babies can be very expensive and things add up quickly. When you shop at Walmart you have the option of splitting up your purchases in monthly payments by clicking on Affirm at checkout. We are making sure to stick to our budget and I’ll tell you how we take full advantage of using Affirm.
BABY ESSENTIALS
For the first three months Benji slept in a bassinet next to me then we transitioned him to a crib in our room. I had a pumping station in the corner of the room with a chair, a basket full of snacks, and breast pump. It was much more comfortable for me than the bed.
MAKE IT COZY FOR MOM!
You already know you need many items for the new baby, but we also have to think about yourself. Because if Mom is not happy and comfortable, it makes it much harder to take care of a newborn or other little ones you have. Being confined in one space can get boring. Especially if you are nursing around the clock those first few weeks. I always had some sort of entertainment and for me that was either my phone or binge watching my favorite shows. This year we upgraded our television in our room and love it!
This is the television we got and love!
A MINI FRIDGE?
Yes! You read that right! We live in a two-story house which makes trips to the kitchen a little harder carrying a newborn down the stairs while also recovering from birth. That is why we added a desk in the corner to be used as a table to eat all my meals and used a mini-refrigerator for the late nights when I got thirsty or hungry. Most importantly we used that refrigerator to store freshly pumped milk. We had an electric bottle warmer on the desk as well.
I’ve listed similar items and different options for all types of budgets which you also get at Walmart and use Affirm at checkout.
I hope this helped some momma’s out there. We are so excited for baby brother’s arrival!
Muchos besos,
Belinda Selene
